Lists

There are two types of Lists within the stackd platform.
  1. Versioned Lists - Lists that you update regularly and will have multiple versions of over time. You control these entirely and should create new versions when updates are needed.
  1. Global Lists - Single source of truth lists that populate data throughout stackd. When you update these, it affects current projects, so proceed with caution. These should be reviewed carefully before changes are made.

Create a Versioned List

  1. Navigate to “System” > “Lists”
  1. Click “Add List”
  1. Select the type of list you want to create.
    1. 💡
      List types populate pre-defined fields that you cannot delete.
  1. Click “Add Column” to add additional columns that can be edited for each row
      • Use the 🗑️ Trash icon if you want to delete a column that you’ve added
      • Use the Order field to change the order in which they’ll be displayed within the list. You can do this using up and down arrows, or by clicking the Edit icon and typing the number you’d like it to show within the list
  1. Click “Add Item” to add options that you’d like to be available for selection from that list
      • Use the three dots under heading Actions to add, delete or expand a line item. Expanding the item will open a new pane where you can view the item details.
  1. Enter the appropriate details for each list item as is necessary for the list you’re working on
  1. Click “Save”
      • Note: the button will not be clickable if you have not populated all of the required fields to save

Edit a List

  1. Navigate to “System” > “Lists”
  1. Select the line item that you’re editing and edit the details that are displayed on the right-hand side of the screen
  1. Click “Save”

Delete a List

  1. Navigate to “System” > “Lists”
  1. Select the line item that you’d like to delete
  1. Click “More Actions”
  1. Click “Delete”
      • Note: it is recommended that you confirm in “System” > “Settings” that you do not have any default lists using the list before you delete it

Deleting a list requires the appropriate permissions.

Configure Default Lists

  1. Navigate to “System” > “Settings”
  1. Click on the list name that you need to edit
  1. Click “More Actions” and select “Make Default”
  1. Click “Save”
